An incredible day with an incredible family. Trashing wedding dresses and enjoying life. Sweet Water Images would like to thank Gail, Mandy, Stephanie, Jenn, Chris, Frank, Jacob and Big Daddy for allowing us to capture this fun occasion. From John Deer Tractors to a 1950 Chevy, we covered almost every inch of their Hernando home….and then some. These ladies had brilliant ideas that were brought to life. Paint, Parasols and Pools made for exciting photographs and big smiles.

We couldn’t have asked for a better Trash The Dress session. We just wish we could do it again.

Also, a big thanks to Karin Woodward of Haute Horticulture for supplying us with her beautiful bouquets. Who needs a paint brush when you’ve got a bouquet?? ~Mary Helen

Seniors Models Revealed {Oxford}

06 Fill Your EyesOh to be a Senior again. Those carefree days of chillin with friends, enjoying life and being excited about what the future holds. These 3 beautiful ladies have such style, class, and energy. Each with strong and very different personalities. We were so lucky to photograph this period in their lives. Ladies, enjoy it while it lasts.
Ms. Dallas Nutt, well, she is a nut. Happy and giggly with that effervescent smile.

And Ms. Merissa Pittman is such a strong woman. You can see the determination in her eyes.

Finally, Ms. Laura Beth Cox is a laid back soul with a quiet beauty and a laugh that hits you when you least expect it.

Thank you girls for being our “Charlies Angels”. And a big thanks to Waltz in Oxford for allowing us to dismantle your restaurant.

And the cutest baby belly award goes to…Ms. Abby! She has the chunkiest little belly ever. And not to mention she is another one of our blue eyed boogers! Abby is an outdoorsy chick who doesn’t mind getting a little dirt under her nails or in her mouth for that matter. She’s gonna have all the boys under her thumb one day. It doesn’t get much cuter than this. Sarah Blake and I had such a fun time together. She was the best model. Lots of smiles and laughs with those big eyes and chubby cheeks. I’m such a sucker for chubby cheeks. I am so excited I was able to capture her at this awesome age. So precious.

Harper & Fletcher {Portraits}

Harper and Fletcher are first cousins and best friends. Those of you who know me, know that I was raised with cousins who are like my brothers. We spent every holiday, vacation and any given weekend together growing up. And even now, though separated by many miles, we still have the same relationship we had as children.
Harper and Fletcher have that same unique bond with each other. I loved watching them. It brought back so many great memories from my past. Their moms are twin sisters and friends of mine from high school. We spent the session laughing and catching up on lost time; reminiscing about crazy days and doing good old gossiping. We were always really good at that! Harper and Fletcher were so good and easy to work with. And how cute are they both?!

Jenn and Jess, thank you so much for allowing me to capture those beautiful babies of yours. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed catching up with you. I can’t wait for our girls night out.

Luke {Newborn}

Introducing Luke! You may remember Maryrose and Adam from a few blog posts ago. The wintery maternity shoot! Well, this is Luke! Isn’t he the cutest. Generally we like to do new born shots in the first two weeks of a baby being born. We were unable to do that with Luke. It’s amazing how wide-eyed and curious a one month old can be. He was taking in everything around him. And check out his awesome style!! Those Chucks are to die for. If you know Adam, you know he has spent a lot of time on a skate board. There is no doubt that Luke is well on his way. We think he is perfecting the “Layback Grind” these days.
Thanks Maryrose and Adam for letting us get our hands on Luke. He’s a precious prize.

Olivia {Portraits}

Olivia was the happiest the girl we have ever photographed! She was so much fun to take pictures of and play with. Her smiles and laughs just lit up our cameras. She is absolutely beautiful, just like her mama!
Olivia is so loved. She has two of the greatest parents around and two of the largest families around. I think Jim and Kim have over 80 people…in their immediate families. There is not a shortage of hugs in her life. Thank you so much, Kimberly and Jim, for allowing us to photograph your little angle. I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on her and it was well worth the wait. Love you guys.

Isabella Rose {Portraits}

I just can’t begin to tell you how the stars aligned for this shoot. The light was so golden, there was lots of moral support to keep the baby smiling and not to mention, this baby was beautiful to boot. Little Isabella is the sweetest thing.

This was really a special shoot for me, because I grew up knowing Bella’s father’s family my whole life. Her Aunt Emilia and I were close friends all through school, and I know for a fact she was born into a very special family. Before the shoot I asked them to bring some props that were sentimental to them. They did not disappoint.

The chair in the pictures was Bella’s great-grandmothers, the pearl necklace was given to Bella’s mom, Carlee, from Will on their wedding day, the quilt was stitched by Carlee’s grandmother when Carlee was born, and the apple was a family toy that has been played with the Morgan children for over 40 years. We weren’t just taking pictures people… we were creating heirlooms.

Thank you Carlee and Will for letting Mary Helen and I photograph you little beautiful Isabella. Have you ever thought about modeling? ~Ann-Marie

This little guy is very special to me because his mom and I go way back. As a matter of fact, we are soul-sisters. It was such a great day seeing old friends and meeting their children. This little man just stole our hearts with those baby-blues he got from his mom, Emily. Not to mention that cute little tongue that kept sticking out of your mouth every time we pointed the camera his way. What a precious baby and what a wonderful mom. Will & Elle {Portraits}

Parenting and Motherhood just comes naturally to some women. You know the woman…the one who can juggle a stroller, a diaper bag, a purse, two kids and her car keys all with the same hand while drinking a latte and still looking fabulous, graceful, and light-footed. Jana is one of those women. I had so much fun watching her play with her beautiful children, Will and Elle. You can tell that she lights up their life and they hers.

You pretty much had to be light-footed to keep up with Will. He was on the go. I think we covered every acre of William Faulker’s home and maybe the neighbors too. (Note to self: Invest in new track shoes.) Every now and then he would turn and face the camera and we had about 2.5 seconds to grab the shot. I’m pretty sure he knew what he was he doing. It wasn’t his first photo rodeo. But I got his number.

Elle is a little roli poli! I am in love with all of her rolls. Not to mention those big blues. She was just on the verge of taking her first steps when we got our hands on her, but boy did she know how to crawl. Too cute.

Jana, Brett, Will and Elle are about to embark on a new exciting adventure. Brett took a job in Boston, so they will be moving there soon. We wish them the best of luck and know that they will have an amazing time. And while we know that everyone in Oxford and Memphis will miss them terribly, we also know that wonderful things come from the biggest challenges. Jana and Brett, enjoy every second of this new chapter and thank you so much for allowing us to capture the spirit of your beautiful babies. ~ Mary Helen

Ohh how sweet she is. We are so lucky to photograph these beautiful blue eyed babies, but this one is special. Her parents and I are friends from way back. She is so lucky to have them and I can’t wait to tell her! She just celebrated her 1st birthday, so happy birthday Stella! Thanks Scarlett and Chris for letting Mary Helen and I photograph you sweet Stella. I can’t wait to do some more!

Jack & Evelyn {Portraits}

I always have a thing for babies… so, when Mary Helen told me we booked Jack and Evelyn, I was so excited to get my hands on that little darling blue-eyed Evelyn. Oh, boy was I surprised! Not only was Evelyn a little rolly-polly angel, but I also fell in love with a little darling man named Jack. Boy isn’t he a handsome devil. Mom, Susan is definitely lucky to have such beautiful children. It’s a good thing Mary Helen and I ate our Wheaties for breakfast, because this duo kept us on our toes. Susan, thanks for letting us photograph your darling babies. I am so glad I got the opportunity to meet them! ~Ann-Marie

Drew and Madison {Portraits}

Sweet Sweet Drew and Madison! I just love them. Drew and Madison are my Grove buddies and also my church buddies. If you haven’t noticed, Drew is some what of a ham. I didn’t have a problem getting him to smile for the camera or strike a pose. Drew has an amazing spirit about him. One those “old souls”, you know? He isn’t shy in the least, loves football and basketball (well really just the Rebels), and will probably be Mayor one day.
Now, Madison is her own little person. Very strong and opinionated. She walks to the tune of her own drummer. And boy does she know how to use her puppy dog face. I’m not sure how her parents resist that lip. I love it. We had a fun studio session and I thank Beth and Chad for allowing me to photograph their angels. ~Mary Helen

Maryrose & Adam {Maternity}

Luke is ALMOST here! We can’t wait to meet him. We had such a fun time taking these maternity photos in the snow. Well, I say snow, but it was more like ice. Let me just tell you, using a camera while ice skating is not easy! But man it was fun! I just love these photographs. Maryrose has this amazing glow about her. She looks fantastic, and Adam hung in there. I think he may have actually enjoyed being in front of the camera, however, he may not say that if you ask him directly. Luke is lucky to have such fun, cool parents.

Now, Porter was like a ship in the night. In and out, doing his own think, posing at just the right time. He’s my new friend. We “get” each other. How can you not love playing with an ice-stick. What a treat! Maryrose and Adam have been together since high school, which is how long I’ve known them. Their friendship/love is strong and true. You could easily see that in the way they picked and played with each other, keeping the day fun and light. I get such satisfaction from seeing my friends start their families together. My job is truly a blessing. Thanks Maryrose and Adam. Go Stealers! ~Mary Helen
