We had such a fun time photographing these two. And how couldn’t you with such a good lookin’ couple. There were so many great moments through out the day. From the two seeing each other before the ceremony to the Parker’s Snow Cone truck. You could not have asked for a better day. We were blessed to be there with you, Deborah and Jeff! Thank you so much for allowing us to share your day.

Trash the Dress {Mississippi Style}

An incredible day with an incredible family. Trashing wedding dresses and enjoying life. Sweet Water Images would like to thank Gail, Mandy, Stephanie, Jenn, Chris, Frank, Jacob and Big Daddy for allowing us to capture this fun occasion. From John Deer Tractors to a 1950 Chevy, we covered almost every inch of their Hernando home….and then some. These ladies had brilliant ideas that were brought to life. Paint, Parasols and Pools made for exciting photographs and big smiles.

We couldn’t have asked for a better Trash The Dress session. We just wish we could do it again.

Also, a big thanks to Karin Woodward of Haute Horticulture for supplying us with her beautiful bouquets. Who needs a paint brush when you’ve got a bouquet?? ~Mary Helen

I am so excited to share this post with you! It’s not everyday that you receive a phone call from your client on their honeymoon telling you thanks for being a part of their wedding. That phone call validates why Mary Helen and I love photographing weddings so much. Ginger and Patrick not only have a fairy-tale romance but they are amazing people, coupled with a great network of family members and friends. You could feel the emotion with every click of the shutter. I just love reading great bridal blogs. I actually had some down-time tonight and started looking around at all the great resources brides in the South have to choose from. One of my favorites, The Southern Weddings Daily Blog is an amazing treasure-trove of great vendor suggestions and drop-dead beautiful ideas for brides. This particular blog post was some amazing bouquets. Pretty colors make every girl smile, and the bouquet adds just the right twist to compliment any bride’s style. Fantasy Floral Designs – Vintage Brooch Bouquets {Vendors}

One of our previously featured vendors, Calligraphy By Jennifer featured this little golden nugget on her blog the other day, and I just HAD to share.

This vendor, Fantasy Floral Designs owned by Amanda Heer has taken the bridal bouquet to the next level. Her Vintage Brooch Bouquets are absolutely AH-mazing. Fantasy Floral Designs has been featured by all the top wedding magazines such as The Knot, Best of Weddings 2008 and 2009, Ceremony magazine, Romantic Homes magazine, just to name a few.

Mary Helen and I are dying for the opportunity to photograph one of these. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to keep your bouquet forever! Talk about sentimental. The perfect heirloom to be passed down to your daughter, and granddaughter? Wow. These are so cool. Just one thing to remember… you may want to get a “toss” bouquet for your bridesmaids to catch. Our favorite wedding planner in Oxford, Kate Barron Rosson of A Bash Events is not only the best wedding planner in the area, but she is also a savvy business woman. Her latest creation, Swap the Dress is an online website dedicated to giving life to those bridesmaid dresses laid to rest.

Kate describes Swap the Dress as: ”Swap the Dress, LLC is an online business website designed from one former bridesmaid to another. In the event that you haven’t, cut your dress off to “totally wear it again,” you’ve come to the right place. We are a listing service that allows bridesmaids from across the country to buy and sell dresses.”

What’s great about this site is a bride on a budget can get designer dresses for over half the cost. What a genius idea. You can search dresses by color, size or designer. I was browsing around the other night and noticed that under some colors there were 3-4 sizes of the same dress to choose from. There were dresses from some of my favorite designers like Bill Levkoff, Watters and Watters, Jim Hjelm. Not only does the site feature dresses, but Kate also has a blog in which she talks about trends in the wedding industry. I love reading her blog and seeing what kind of sexy stuff brides are using for decor and dress in 2010.

Calligraphy & Cake Toppers {Vendors}

Facebook is such an amazing thing. Mary Helen and I have made some very valuable connections with vendors all over the United States, all of which are small business owners that are trying to market their work just like us. Every once in a while you come across an artist’s work is too good not to share. Calligraphy by Jennifer is one of those AMAZING artists. What an awesome attention to detail. Wouldn’t your guests feel honored to know that the invitation you sent to them was hand-written and addressed just for them? wow… (I wonder if she gets hand cramps?)

and my personal favorite– look how clean and elegant the writing is when paired with clear vases and white accents.

Because I am friends with Jennifer on Facebook, I saw the other day that she was talking about Sari Watkins, owner of, Toppers with Glitz, an awesome cake-topper company specializing in crystal-encrusted cake toppers. Talk about B-L-I-N-G. These have got it goin’ on. Watkins has been praised heavily by her clients as well as been featured on WE TV’s “Platinum Weddings”, was a recipient of the 2010 WeddingWire Bride’s Choice Awards, and featured in WedLuxe and The Knot Magazine’s.

Not only are these beautiful keepsakes, but wouldn’t they be awesome to photograph? ~ Ann-Marie

Even though I am married and have been happily for 4 years, I still L-O-V-E looking at wedding stuff. Beautiful, fancy accessories, pretty paper, and drop-dead high fashion photography. I stumbled across one blog today that was a bride’s heaven. The Wedding Chicks Blog is a great little resource for everything beautifully bridal. One of my favorite sections (aside from the photography) was the DYI section. Since I was on a shoe-string budget when I tied the knot (girls, you would stroke if you had to plan a wedding with the funds I was provided) I can appreciate anything DIY when it comes to wedding decor. I was a hands-on bride that painstakingly planned every detail of my big day. I almost went crazy, and actually did the day of the wedding, but really would secretly love to plan another one. Who doesn’t love arts and crafts mixed with a little party planning?

Check these out! I love, love, love these. Simple paper bags dressed up with some nice ribbon and cardstock. The content possiblities are endless.

ok, and just one more… a FREE….FREE wedding invitation template. How hot is this? I love the yellow and black. Very chic.
